Jasper's Musgrove Country Club offers a challenging, 18-hole course that includes rolling hills, bent grass greens and Bermuda fairways. Two swinging bridges that cross Blackwater Creek connect the course with the pro shop, offering golf equipment and apparel, and clubhouse.
The course's clubhouse was built in 1924 by Colonel L.B. Musgrove, a wealthy bachelor in the area who used the space to entertain business associates. Today the building includes several original features, such as the lobby, ballroom, hardwood floors and stone fireplaces, as well as additions including a dining room, lounge and grill. Located outdoors, an Olympic-size swimming pool and tennis courts are also available.
Comprising more than 500 members, Musgrove Country Club hosts a variety of tournaments each year. Past events at the club include the State Senior Championship, State Mid-Am Championship, State Four-Ball Championship, State Boys and State Girls Championship, and the State Net Championship.
In addition, Musgrove Country Club hosts banquets and special events in the facility's dining area, which also serves lunch and dinner throughout the week. Members can enjoy menu items such as salads, soups and sandwiches for lunch, with more substantial fare – including steak, salmon and veal – available for dinner.
