Scottsdale has more than 700 eating establishments. There's casual, everyday dining for those eating on a budget, while others may enjoy the freshest ingredients from Scottsdale chefs who have easy access to locally and organically grown foods. Iconic restaurants remain a top draw, which is no easy feat in a city with so many options.
Bandera, a local steakhouse complete with a full bar and located in Old Town, is a Scottsdale favorite for its unique entrees and excellent service. Some other top-rated restaurants include the Village Tavern and the Bonfire Bar and Grill, both found along Scottsdale Street.
High quality is a priority to many Scottsdale chefs, which is why they are cooking with locally grown, organic food. Fresh produce is a must, but that’s not all. Scottsdale chefs, like those at FnB and Lon’s at the Hermosa, are using local cheese, meat, and eggs in order to ensure that customers have the most wholesome dining experience possible.
Fresh produce is available every Saturday at the Old Town Farmers Market. This family-friendly spot provides local agriculturists with the opportunity to market their pesticide-free produce, free range eggs and local cheeses. Classes and demonstrations are also available for anyone interested in honing their own gardening and cooking skills.
Greasewood Flats and Frank and Lupe’s Old Mexico have been favorites for more than 25 years.
Greasewood Flats, an old-fashioned burger joint, can seat up to 1,000 people. All seating is outdoors, and the kitchen is a converted 130-year-old bunkhouse. This establishment has been in business for around 30 years and is on Food Network’s Alton Brown’s list of America’s Best.
Located along downtown’s Marshall Way, Frank and Lupe’s Old Mexico has been a Scottsdale favorite for 25 years and counting. This adobe-style building gives its customers a colorful experience while they enjoy traditional Mexican cuisine.
