Global Fest in the Barrens Celebrates Area Diversity
Barren County is home to a diverse population, and Global Fest in the Barrens has been celebrating those differences for nearly a decade. Global Fest in the Barrens takes place downtown on the square the first Saturday in September and celebrates a range of cultures through music, dance, food, games and other activities. Some of the many cultures represented include Japanese, African, Italian, German, Chinese, Mexican, Hawaiian, French, Middle Eastern and Vietnamese.
