Lexington, KY Offers Several Hospitals

Lexington provides plenty of options when it comes to health care, with over ten hospitals to choose from. St. Joseph Health SystemSt. Joseph's runs eight separate facilities across the state, and has racked up an impressive array of awards. It has been recognized 18 times as being among the 100 Top Hospitals in the nation by Thomson Reuters, and was the winner of the Joint Commission's Codman Award for quality improvements. Cardinal Hill Rehabilitation HospitalCardinal Hill provides physical rehabilitation services and specializes in the treatment of spinal cord injury, brain injury, stroke, neurological conditions and other disabling conditions. The hospital holds 108 in-patient beds and serves more than 9,000 patients annually.
 Central Baptist HospitalCentral Baptist Hospital offers a variety of services, and includes a cancer center. The hospital has won multiple awards in different specialized areas, including a Gold Seal of Approval for its stroke center and it was named by American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery a Bariatric Center of Excellence. UK HealthCareUK HealthCare's featured health services include the Markey Cancer Center, Gil Heart Institute and the Kentucky Children's Hospital. Shriners Hospitals for ChildrenShriners Hospitals for Children is system made up of 22 hospitals that treat children up to the age of 18. The hospital treats children suffering from burns, spinal cord injury and cleft lip and palate.
