It may be hard to pronounce, but Lake Waxahachie is an easy place to relax.

The calm, cool waters are great for a variety of sports like water skiing, swimming and of course fishing. Bass large and small are abundant in Waxahachie. One of the biggest Bass caught here weighed more than 10 pounds. The alkaline content of the water makes it an ideal habitat for catfish and white crappie too. One of the biggest catfish caught at the lake weighed 34 pounds.

The lake area totals 656 acres, with a maximum depth of 48 feet.
