Many people know North Carolina is home to stunning mountains, rolling hills and beautiful beaches, but did you know it also has more than 400 golf courses within its borders?

No matter where you’re headed in this sunny state, chances are you won’t be far from a beautifully manicured course. And with great venues—like the acclaimed Pinehurst No. 2—and weather that allows you to be outside year-round, it’s no wonder so many champions flock to the Tarheel State to play on its many four-star courses.

If you find yourself passing through or stopping by for a visit, be sure to schedule a round at one of these three magnificent courses.
