Princeton, NJ Public and Private Schools Overview

Public Schools

The Princeton Regional Schools District serves as Princeton's public school system. This district includes four elementary schools, which are Community Park, Johnson Park, Littlebrook and Riverside; John Witherspoon Middle School; and Princeton High School. These schools serve both Princeton Borough and Princeton Township, and their strong curriculum has been influenced by Princeton University's long history in the community.

Private Schools

Several private schools serve Princeton including American Boychoir School, Stuart Country Day School of the Sacred Heart, Princeton Academy of the Sacred Heart and The Lewis School.

American Boychoir School teaches boys in grades 4 through 8 and offers a typical core curriculum with classes like math, science and social studies. These courses are designed to be taught in the classroom as well as on tour as the boys travel to deliver musical performances and learn from from applying their classroom lessons.

Stuart Country Day School of the Sacred Heart is a Catholic school committed to preparing women for roles in leadership through its challenging curriculum and superior teaching as part of the global community of more than 150 Sacred Heart schools.

Princeton Academy of the Sacred Heart provides boys between junior kindergarten and grade 8 with a faith-based education in a structured community with the goal of creating young men who can face tough challenges and make good, beneficial choices.

The Lewis School is dedicated to helping students with learning problems discover their natural talents and develop strong learning skills using teaching techniques developed from the latest research in brain function, mental receptivity and memory.
