Verily, the Castle of Muskogee hosts the Oklahoma Renaissance Festival weekends throughout the month of May.

More than 300 costumed characters provide much of the entertainment on the spacious grounds of the castle. Step past the castle walls and be transported back in time to a period when knights fought for fair maidens and the king’s word was law. A note to all those who wish to come in costumed – weapons must be “peace tied” and sheathed.

Other festival attractions include a Queen’s Tea, masked ball, Scottish party and a king’s feast with Henry VIII. The Castle of Muskogee is also home to Castle Fireworks (June-July), a Halloween Festival (in October), a Boare’s Heade Feaste (November) and Christmas Kingdom (November-December). It can also be rented as a banquet/events facility.
