Eugene's shopping scene includes a good mix of major retailers and local gems. Here are a few of the city's most popular shopping spots.
Valley River Center
The Valley River Center is one of Eugene's best shopping options, with a convenient mall setup and major stores. Anchor stores include Macy's, JCPenney and Sports Authority, while smaller stores range from Banana Republic and Gap to The Mac Store. The center also hosts a Regal Cinema, as well as numerous restaurants.
Eugene's Oakway Center provides shoppers with a mix of local shops and major retailers. The Heritage Courtyard allows shoppers to enjoy the outdoors as they browse the store selection. That selection includes a good variety of stores, such as Old Navy, Pottery Barn, Trader Joe's and White House Black Market.
One-of-a-kind isn't so hard to find in Eugene. Thanks to programs like Unique Eugene, the city has sustained an impressive local shopping scene. Kids can stay entertained at Eugene Toy & Hobby, and you can find a wide variety of unusual items at Greater Goods, which trades goods from around the world. Smith Family Bookstore covers the book worm, Paul's Bicycle Way of Life entices the outdoor enthusiast and the Oregon Art Supply satisfies creatives.
Fifth Street Public Market
The Historic Fifth Street Public Market combines the local flavor of Eugene with a downtown market scene. Local vendors set up small spaces and booths within the market to sell their hand-crafted items, which range from clothing to beauty products and specialty items. But the market is perhaps most famous for its food, with its many restaurants and cafes.
