Franklin, TN, is widely known for its excellent schools, where students routinely achieve some of the top test scores in the state.

Williamson County Schools

This K-12 district has 31,000 students enrolled at its 42 school sites, which include eight high schools, eight middle schools, 23 elementary schools and one K-8 school. All high schools have Advanced Placement programs with 26 different courses offered, and nine schools have a pre-kindergarten program.

Of the professional employees in Williamson County Schools, 52 percent have attained an educational level of a master's degree or higher.

Franklin Special School District

FSSD includes grades K-8, with approximately 4,000 students enrolled. The district has seven schools: four elementary, one intermediate, one middle and a balanced calendar K-8 school.

Private Schools

Williamson County is home to many private schools. They range in enrollment from small Faith Apostolic Christian School, to the approximately 970-student Battle Ground Academy. Other private schools include Benton Hall Academy, Brentwood Academy, Currey Ingram Academy, Eagles Nest Academy, Franklin Classical School, Montessori School of Franklin, New Hope Academy, St. Matthew Catholic School and Willow Hall Academy.
