Snow skiing and submarine rides could become new attractions in Miami if plans shared last week with the Miami Herald come to fruition. The company that owns the Mall of America, Triple Five, shared drawings of what a 200-acre entertainment complex and mall could look like if government leaders support plans to build American Dream Miami. The complex would take the title of “world’s-largest mall,” which is currently held by the Mall of America.

American Dream would include an artificial ski slope, sea lion show, indoor domed amusement park, water park, Ferris wheel and a lake offering submarine rides, along with mini golf, a skating rink and indoor gardens.

“It is our intent that this project – American Dream Miami – will exceed our other world-famous projects in all respects,†Triple Five said in a statement to the Miami Herald.

The deal hinges on whether Triple Five will be able to acquire 200 acres, some of which is currently owned by the state of Florida and under lease by Miami-Dade’s school system.
