Hello, neighbor – and neighborhoods in El Paso. This unique American city is growing fast, with a modern downtown that includes nine buildings that are at least 15 stories tall. Also in El Paso are several excellent neighborhoods, and here is a brief background on eight of them:

Castner Heights

El Paso Independent School District and a number of private schools serve the residents of Castner Heights, a neighborhood in the northeast portion of the city. Many single-family homes are well priced, and the area has several parks along with attractions like the Border Patrol Museum and Painted Dunes Golf Course.

Emory Road/West Sunset Road

This upscale neighborhood in the Emory Road/West Sunset Road area has houses that average $300,000, and the average monthly rental price for apartments and homes is $1,600. Mission Hills

With median home prices around $200,000, Mission Hills features a number of houses built from 1940-1970. The average rental price in Mission Hills is $1,000, and the district is known for its walkability access and safety. A handful of restaurants, stores and parks are also in the neighborhood.

Mountain View

Seven parks and two lakes grace the neighborhood of Mountain View, which consists largely of soldiers stationed at Fort Bliss as well as retired Army personnel. Several single-family homes range in price from $135,000-$175,000, and many children attend El Paso Independent School District.

Silver Springs Village

The upscale community of Silver Springs Village has a culturally diverse population, and houses sell for $175,000 and up. The surrounding area has several stores, restaurants and entertainment venues, and a couple of parks provide outdoor recreation opportunities.

Via Hermosa

Scenic parks and ethnic restaurants are part of the Via Hermosa neighborhood, where home prices range from $135,000 to $200,000. Good schools are in place, and residents work in a variety of occupations ranging from laborers to professional executives.
