Golf courses in Tyler, Texas, keep golfers on their tees, with more than a dozen public and private venues in the area.
Hollytree Country Club
This private 18-hole championship layout also doubles as a residential development. Hollytree opened in 1983 and features plenty of water hazards as well as five par-3s that are quite demanding. The course has four sets of tees that measure from 5,102 yards to 6,805 yards.
Known for its dramatic elevation changes, The Cascades is a private, par-71 course that spans 7,421 yards. It is graced with rolling terrain and some of the largest pine trees in North America, along with views of Lake Bellwood. The course has also played host to the North Texas PGA Texas State Open since 2006.
Willow Brook Country Club
The history of Willow Brook dates back to 1922, and Tyler's oldest private club is removed from any residences and businesses. The championship course is an 18-hole, par-71 venue that stretches 6,819 yards, and in 2006 played host to the Women's Texas Amateur Championship.
Arrowhead Golf Club
Arrowhead is a well-visited public course that opened in 2004 and spans 7,200 yards. It offers nice views of the East Texas rolling hills, and its spacious fairways are bordered by native grasses and trees.
Other Courses in the Area
