Danville's top shopping destination is its historic downtown, which provides a quaint and cute backdrop that perfectly complements its old-fashioned shops. Here are a few highlights of Danville's shopping scene.
Danville's charming downtown preserves its historic side by keeping the past alive through ventures like Lou's Antique Mall. The mall spans 25,000 square feet and features multiple vendors selling everything from furniture to rare collectibles. Another Main Street staple is the River City General Store, which provides all those hard-to-find items we always seem to be looking for. Whether it be garden tools, hardware, duplicate keys or the ever-popular Burt's Bees, you'll find it in River City.
For a little something special, step in The Invitation Destination, which sells specialty items and personalized gifts. For fashion, take a look in Foxglove Clothing of Danville or Rippe's, which specializes in both women's clothing and shoes.
A trip down Piedmont Drive will provide plenty of shopping options. Piedmont Mall offers a nice mix of big names and small stores. Bigger retailers include Belk, JCPenney and Sears, while more than 75 specialty stores sport names like American Eagle, PacSun and Bath & Body Works. Smaller shops include Deb Shops, ideal for ladies wear, Rack Room Shoes and Kids Foot Locker.
