Richmond, VA Don't-Miss Attraction: Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden

Comprising more than 50 acres, Richmond's Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden features over a dozen themed gardens that include a wide variety of flowers, including more than 1,800 roses in the Rose Garden, as well as additional plants and fountains.
Spanning 11,000 square feet, the property's Conservatory is known as the “Jewel of the Garden” and houses exotic plants in both permanent collections and rotating displays. The structure includes a 63-foot tall dome, a semi-tropical wing with a collection of orchids, and more.
The Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden also features the Education and Library Complex, which includes classrooms, laboratories, the Lora M. Robins Library and the Joan Massey Conference Center. Kids enjoy the new Children's Garden that features a hands-on activity center, a diverse range of plants, a fruit and vegetable garden, and more.
In addition, the garden includes the Lora and Claiborne Robins Tea House, which serves lunch daily and is located near the Asian Valley.
Several annual events take place on the property including Groovin' in the Garden, Dominion GardenFest of Lights and New Year's Eve Family Frolic.
