Rock Springs, WY has a variety of restaurants and favorite local spots, including That Yogurt Place.

Here’s a look at what some of Sweetwater County’s can’t-miss restaurants and eateries have to offer:

Lew’s

Located in Rock Springs, Lew’s is perfect for picky eaters, as its diverse menu includes Asian cuisine, pasta dishes, steaks, sandwiches, salads and more. Word to the wise: Portions are generous, so bring your appetite. While the restaurant’s upscale dining room is ideal for a date night or a family meal, the bar draws a more casual crowd with its big-screen TVs and high-top tables.

Broadway Burger Station

Quell your burger craving at Broadway Burger Station, a family-friendly eatery in downtown Rock Springs. Decorated to look like a 1950s diner, the restaurant is known for its hearty, juicy burgers and fries and creamy milkshakes in flavors like banana cream, hot fudge and macadamia nut. Definitely bring the kids – they’ll get a kick out of the cardboard hotrod cars in which their meals are served.

That Yogurt Place

Grab a sweet treat at That Yogurt Place, a locally owned and operated frozen yogurt shop in Rock Springs. There are always 14 flavors on tap, such as cake batter and Georgia peach, plus more than 40 toppings that range from candy and cookie pieces to fresh fruit. Looking for a freebie? On Tasty Tuesdays, patrons who can get their yogurt and topping bowl to weigh the same number of ounces as the lucky number of the day get their treat on the house.

Pitchfork Fondue Western Outdoor Cookout

Enjoy a one-of-a-kind outdoor dining experience at Pitchfork Fondue Western Outdoor Cookout, where hand-trimmed sirloin steaks and chicken breasts are cooked over a cauldron of hot oil heated by fire on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings at the Pinedale Rodeo Grounds. Not interested in meat? No problem. Grilled fruit and vegetable shish kabobs are available, plus side items like homemade potato chips, deep-fried onions and fresh salads. Desserts include homemade brownies and lemon bars. In addition to enjoying a delicious meal, guests can take in gorgeous view of the Wind River Mountains. The open-air environment is a favorite for families with children.

Hitching Post Restaurant & Saloon

Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner daily, the family-friendly Hitching Post Restaurant & Saloon in Green River offers a mix of menu items. Breakfast dishes include classic plates, skillets and omelets, while lunch and dinner choices range from sandwiches and burgers to pasta and steaks. A fresh salad bar is stocked with all the usual fixings. Those looking for entertainment can head over to the establishment’s saloon side, which hosts karaoke nights and other special events.
