Rock Springs, WY has a variety of medical providers and health care options in Sweetwater County. 

The health industry is in good shape in Sweetwater County, with many medical and wellness options available to residents to enhance their quality of life. Here is some background:

Medical Centers

Accredited by the Joint Commission, the 99-bed Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County offers a 24-hour emergency department, obstetrics, women’s health, same-day surgery and more. MHSC recently opened a new 80,000-square-foot Medical Office Building and Cancer Treatment Center.

Aspen Mountain Medical Center, a physician-owned facility, cares for the Sweetwater County community by providing affordable health-care services. Covering 51,000 square feet, AMMC has several specialists on staff in areas like family and internal medicine, gastroenterology, ophthalmology and general surgery. The facility also offers physical therapy, rehabilitation, imaging, radiology and pharmaceutical services.

Imaging

Located in the River Springs Square Medical & Office Complex in Rock Springs, New Frontier Imaging brought the region its first digital mammography unit, all-digital X-ray unit and breast MRI unit, giving Sweetwater County residents easy access to services they once had to travel to receive. Patients can also visit the state-of-the-art facility for ultrasounds and bone density scans.

Chiropractor

Huxford Chiropractic Clinic in Rock Springs has served the community for more than 30 years, helping patients to reduce the risk of pain and illness. In addition to chiropractic care, the clinic offers corrective exercise instruction, spinal and postural screenings, massage therapy, lifestyle advice and nutritional counseling.

Fitness

Western Wyoming Community College’s Exercise Science and Wellness Center serves as a classroom and training facility for students in WWCC’s exercise science program. Other students and the public can use the center for a small fee.

Escape Day Spa & Boutique combines age-old Eastern and Western methods with the latest in modern technology. Services include massage, facials, chemical peels, body wraps and spray tanning as well as haircuts and perms.

For short-term rehabilitation or long-term care, Sage View Care Center in Rock Springs has TV, Wi-Fi and telephones in every room, gardens, fountains and walking paths.

Mission at Castle Rock Rehabilitation Center in Green River provides both short-term therapy and skilled nursing services. The facility has private suites, and offers services such as physical and occupational therapy, wound care, comprehensive pain management and palliative care. Premier Bone & Joint Centers

In Rock Springs two doctors see patients at Premier Bone & Joint Centers, using technology that includes equipment such as a Tesla MRI scanner. Digital X-rays, pain management injections and minor procedures are available.
